VCC connects disparate PLM systems

A Federation Software product story

Federation Software releases Value Chain Connector (VCC) in support of Matrix One's product lifecycle management software.

Federation Software has released its Value Chain Connector (VCC) in support of Matrix One's product lifecycle management (PLM) software.

Federation Software will combine its technology, federated architecture and commercial off-the-shelf PLM VCC with Matrix One's PLM software.

This will give companies a multi-enterprise collaboration capability that will let them exchange all product content with their worldwide partners, customers and suppliers.

The VCC lets disparate PLM systems be connected bidirectionally to a Matrix One system.

It works hand-in-hand with Federation's Independent Platform Gateway (IPG) to define product data an organisation needs to share, and then actively transfers the data to the designated target systems.

IPG continuously and securely transmits updates to the data between the systems.

"It seemed natural to pair together our VCC with Matrix One's revolutionary technology to allow more customers and value chain members the interoperability they require when seeing a product through the lifecycle," said Kirk Hanes, President and CEO of Federation Software.

This VCC is a full-featured adapter, supporting reading from and writing to all Matrix One versions.
