Festo Didactic, the training division of automation specialist Festo, is to exhibit at the 12th Gulf Education and Training Exhibition.

With the aim of drawing in students, schoolchildren and trainers from throughout the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) region, the exhibition is the largest and most successful student recruitment event anywhere in the Middle East.

Festo Didactic will be among the 250 exhibitors at the show, which takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates between 11-14 April 2000.

15 countries are represented from around the world, with tertiary education institutes forming the majority.

However, Festo Didactic sees the exhibition as a unique chance to make contact with promising students with an interest in the industry from the GCC area (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman), and to promote its range of training products and services.

In an area where personal contact is the basis of all business, the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition benefits directly from the personal support of the UAE Minister for Higher Education and Scientific Research, H.H.

Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak al-Nahayan.

Sheikh Nahayan will formally inaugurate the event, and his staff are closely involved in pre-event planning and co-ordination.

The combination of massive oil revenues, booming economies and explosive population development makes the GCC region one of the most valuable sources of students in the world for academic and training institutes.
