Mobile pneumatics exhibition hits the
road in UK
Festo is hitting the road with a fully equipped mobile exhibition comprising a comprehensive display of pneumatics solutions for the food and packaging industry
Festo, the leading pneumatics and automation supplier, is hitting the road with a fully equipped mobile exhibition The contents of the company's "Expotainer" comprise a comprehensive display of pneumatics solutions for the food and packaging industry
The Expotainer represents the most cost-effective way to gain an overview of the state-of-the-art in automation technology, and is staffed with Festo's automation experts.
The Expotainer enables GB customers to preview some exciting new products to be officially launched at the international Hannover Trade Fair 2001 in April.
A highlight includes a wash down area Valve Terminal that has been developed in conjunction with one of the leaders in aseptic packing technology to significantly reduce the cost of controls by eliminating the need for stainless steel cabinets to house pneumatic solenoid valves.
Festo has noted the relative decline in visitor numbers at trade shows.
Customer feedback suggests that the cost and inconvenience of travelling to such events, combined with the loss of key staff for a whole day, has led to many firms cutting back on attendance.
Festo has addressed these concerns with an exhibition that cuts out the travel and lost time by taking the show to the visitor - completely free of charge and without obligation.
"People just don't have as much time to get to exhibitions in the modern competitive environment," says Festo automation specialist Steve Sands.
"It's important they keep up with the fast-moving automation world.
By taking the Expotainer to them we are able to offer the best of both worlds; attendance on the doorstep combined with our latest products and expert advisors.
We consider it an excellent example of our partnership-based customer service." The concise nature of the Expotainer's content means that visitors are able to keep abreast of automation developments in just a few hours, and its mobility means there are no travel implications or cost pressure on the host company.
Customers are able to discuss their own particular applications with experts right on their doorstep, and are able to handle and try out Festo's products.
Demonstrating its commitment to the food and packaging sector the centrepiece of the mobile exhibition is a dynamic display demonstrating the filling of pots of yoghurt.
The demonstration illustrates how Festo's products are ideally suited to automation in the hygienically demanding food sector, and includes filling, sealing, labelling and palleting.
"The contents of the Expotainer are carefully matched to the needs of the industry," adds Sands.
"Just as importantly, the mobile nature of the exhibition matches the industry's need for a cost and time-effective alternative to traditional trade shows." Mini Expotainer is planned to be on the road in the second quarter of 2001.
It can cover three to four sites per day across the UK. Request free introductory details about products from Festo ...
