Ultra-Thin Slide Cylinder introduced
Festo has introduced an ultra-thin slide pneumatic cylinder into its miniature cylinder range.
Fit for total preventative maintenance (TPM) and electrical drives competence, these courses have been developed in conjunction with key pilot users to maximise benefit and return.
'Fit for TPM' is designed for companies implementing operator and user training on their in-house machinery.
The course trains operators on the pneumatics and associated control on their machines, as well as fault conditions and troubleshooting.
Modules are customised to address specific factory or machine requirements and are developed in consultation with on-site TPM facilitators, maintenance and safety personnel.
The electrical drives course is an introduction to electrical servo and stepper drives - a strategy that familiarises delegates with the design and operation of these drives before progressing to applications and solutions.
Industrial components and software are used in practical exercises throughout the course.
Companies registering interest in these courses at the PPMA show will be eligible for a special 15% discount off the published Festo Didactic list price.
To introduce the latest of its 2003 product offerings, Festo has chosen the PPMA Show for the first UK showing of a complete new air preparation range developed specifically for the needs of OEM machine builders.
On display will be the Modular Series (type: MS) air preparation range including specially configured solutions designed to meet the ISO requirements for compressed air in the food processing industry.
The range allows rapid configuration and ordering of customised solutions delivered fully assembled and tested as a single part.
This is a dramatic cost and labour saving improvement on the conventional scenario of receiving boxes of parts that demand time, component knowledge and experience to assemble the required solution.
The PPMA Show 2003 is being held at Birmingham NEC from 23rd to 25th September.
Festo will be in Hall 12 on Stand 12141. Request a free brochure from Festo ...
