Festo is unveiling a new series of electrical piston-rod cylinders which provide high-accuracy programmable positioning capabilities and are compatible with its DNC pneumatic cylinders.

At Total Processing and Packaging 2007, Festo will be launching new training initiatives and new product lines to help machine builders compete successfully in today's global marketplace For example, the company is unveiling a new series of electrical piston-rod cylinders which provide high accuracy programmable positioning capabilities and are mechanically 100% compatible with Festo's DNC pneumatic cylinders

The new cylinders are likely to prove popular with machine designers and builders seeking to implement mixed technology automation systems for the packaging and processing industries.

Festo will also be showing the latest additions to its range of electric drives -including two new intelligent dc servomotors featuring fieldbus interfaces for Profibus and CANopen -together with a new series of highly flexible CPX valves and I/O options.

Festo's Marketing Manager, Steve Sands, says "We are working together with many of the manufacturers that are exhibiting at Total 2007, to reduce costs and increase competitiveness".
