Flexco has added two new variants to its Eliminator range of conveyor belt cleaner accessories for holding return side belts flat and stable so secondary belt cleaners can work at peak efficiency.

Flexco has added two new variants to its Eliminator range of conveyor belt cleaner accessories for holding return side belts flat and stable so secondary belt cleaners can work at peak efficiency.

The new SRR stabilising return roller and SRBK stabilising roller bracket kit both position a hold-down roller on top of the return side belt, typically located 6 to 8in (150 to 200mm) before or after the cleaner blades, to eliminate the problems of incomplete or inconsistent cleaning that result from flapping, cupped or low-tensioned belts.

The SRR provides a complete assembly, including a 5in CEMA D roller and a set of mounting brackets that install easily on any conveyor structure, require only a 5 x 6in (125 x 150mm) space, and allow both horizontal and vertical adjustment.

The roller is made of Exalon, an abrasion-resistant, noncorroding material with a low coefficient of friction, non-adhesive properties that minimise material buildup, and 20-30% less weight than steel rollers.

The standard SRR is available for belt widths from 24 to 60in (450 to 1500mm), and a heavy-duty model, furnished with a 6in CEMA E Exalon roller, fits belt widths from 54 to 72in (1350 to 1800mm).

The SRBK, intended for use with return rollers supplied from the user's on-site inventory, provides universal mounting brackets featuring a versatile roller retaining design that will accept the hex-head, round or square end caps of all commercially available CEMA C or CEMA D return rollers.

A heavy-duty model accepts CEMA E return rollers.
