Latest versions of the AutoLog AL20 PLCs from FF-Automation offer increased freedom to configure both the analogue/digital mix and total number of inputs and outputs to suit each application

Latest versions of the AutoLog AL20 PLCs from FF-Automation offer increased freedom to configure both the analogue/digital mix and total number of inputs and outputs to suit each application requirement, enabling OEMs to use the same PLC for all machines and get better volume discounts by purchasing in bigger quantities These PLCs can be mounted directly to an installation plate with pins or to a DIN rail using a Phoenix platform, and may be used to control individual or small groups of machines

They are offered with combined display and keyboard units to provide a user interface through a dedicated HMI port and also with RS232/485 port for serial or Modbus communication.

Units have eight universal plug-in input modules, each one definable as either three digital inputs or one analogue input calibrated by system program.

There are four digital I/O points definable as input or output plus eight other digital outputs and, unusually for a small PLC, two 0 to 5V or 10V analogue outputs.

This allows for up to 8 - 32 analogue inputs, 8 - 144 digital inputs/outputs and 8 - 32 analogue outputs.

Further I/O expansion boards are also available - like Web and Gsm modules! .
