More than a next-generation device, the 3051S reflects a radically new approach to delivering enhanced performance and reliability in a highly scaleable platform.

The launch follows a major Rosemount development programme that took a ground-up, total life-cycle view of existing instrumentation and the evolving needs of customers.

The resulting new 3051S Series offers twice the performance and twice the reliability of traditional measurement technology.

Innovative design makes the 3051S the world's first truly scaleable measurement platform that meets every plant need today while providing the path to future automation architectures.

The 3051S creates a totally new approach in the way users install, operate and maintain their measurement instrumentation - yielding capital expense reductions of up to 46% from design through installation and operational expense savings in maintenance and inventory of up to 67%.

Rosemount's development programme included eighteen months of field trials prior to launching the series.

To improve plant performance, the Rosemount 3051S Series goes far beyond being simply a new transmitter, it is an enabling platform.

Improved measurement practices are achieved by a compact, robust and flexible design platform known as the 3051S SuperModule.

With a 316L stainless-steel housing to withstand the harshest field environments, the 3051S provides 0.04% accuracy, 200:1 turndown and 100ms response time, combined with the industry's first ten year stability guarantee under actual process conditions, and a limited lifetime warranty.

The instrument's scaleable intelligence, with advanced diagnostics and control features gives complete access to the operations advantages of Emerson's PlantWeb field-based architecture.

The most used open protocols, including Foundation fieldbus, HART, analogue 4-20mA and Profibus are "plug and play" options of the SuperModule design platform.

Scaleability is a new term for describing measurement technology, and the 3051S is its pioneer.

Innovative design enables the 3051S Series to deliver flow, level and pressure measurement instrumentation from a common SuperModule platform.
