More capability with hygienic temperature sensors

An Emerson Process Management - Rosemount Measurement product story

The Rosemount Model 65Q Pt100 temperature sensor is designed specifically for hygienic and food applications.

The Rosemount Model 65Q Pt100 temperature sensor is designed specifically for hygienic and food applications.

Fitted with industry standard Tri-Clamp fittings, or other fittings on request, these sensors meet the most critical parameters of DIN60751/IEC751.

All sensor surfaces are finished hygienically smooth, to 0.8 micron or better, and "wetted" parts are manufactured in AISI 316Ti stainless steel (1.4571), which is free of all flaws, pits or inclusions.

The 65Q sensor is available with the process immersion length to suit the application, using mineral encapsulated single or dual Pt100 wire wound ceramic elements, to provide accuracy and long term stability.

The connection head is available with an aluminium, stainless steel or polyamide housing, in styles to suit the requirement, or can incorporate one of the Rosemount temperature transmitter modules, such as type 3144P, and an LCD indicator.

Ideal for accurate temperature measurement in food or biotechnology applications, the 65Q temperature sensors provide the reliability and response time needed for efficient measurement in critical applications.

The Rosemount 65Q sensors are available with Class A or Class B accuracy tolerance specifications.

For the ultimate in measurement accuracy, Rosemount can supply a "complete point solution", where the electronic transmitter to be associated with this sensor is programmed with the Callendar-van-Dusen constants obtained from test results on that specific sensor.

This removes the error introduced by assuming the sensor follows the "ideal" curve, because no temperature sensor is ever ideal.

In fact a typical "standard" sensor monitored using the ideal curve would have an error of 1.8C at 300C.

Rosemount complete point solutions using these Callendar-van-Dusen constants are available with the Rosemount 644, 3144P or 3244 transmitters, fitted to 65Q temperature sensors.

Using transmitter/sensor matching in this way increases the accuracy available from a Rosemount complete point solution to better than 0.23C across the whole range.

Rosemount temperature sensors and transmitters provide measurement solutions for all types of industrial application, whether for high accuracy hygienic applications or for simple process temperature monitoring.
