The new Rosemount Model 485 Annubar is an improved design of averaging pitot tube, increasing flowmeter performance and reliability for more reliable and economical flow measurement The new Annubar primary element introduces a revolutionary T-shaped sensor

This patented design is the highest performing, most stable averaging pitot tube design on the market.

The improvements created by this new sensor extend the use of APTs into new measurement applications, such as lower flow ranges and flow control applications.

Several features of the new design enhance flow measurement performance.

The T-shape cross-section facilitates the creation of stagnation zones on the downstream faces of the primary, which significantly reduces signal noise at the low-pressure ports.

A new front face slot design extends across the entire pipe diameter and increases the accuracy of the measurement, by sampling at least 80% of the fluid profile.

This slot, and the surface texture design on the Model 485, combine to provide a 0.75% accuracy capability across all flow ranges.

The T-shape accommodates a sealed pressure retaining thermowell, giving accurate temperature monitoring and allowing sensor removal without process shutdown.

Integrating the new Annubar sensor with Rosemount transmitters to create a complete flowmeter assembly provides a more cost effective and reliable measurement system.

This can be supplied completely factory-configured to provide the flow output scaling required, while reducing potential leak points by 90% and decreasing installation costs for the plant engineer by 30%.

The Model 3051SFA ProBar combines this new Annubar design with the Rosemount Model 3051S, the latest in transmitter technology.

This flowmeter provides advanced software capability, including user configured flow units, low flow cutoff and customised process alerts.

Installation flexibility is improved because the flowmeter display and communication ports can be mounted remote from the actual measurement point, at a convenient and accessible plant location.

The Rosemount Model 3095MFA Mass ProBar flowmeter integrates the new T-shaped Annubar sensor with the Rosemount Model 3095 multivariable transmitter.

This flowmeter enables an accurate mass flow output from a single pipe penetration, by combining DP, GP, and temperature transmitters, Annubar DP flow primary, temperature sensor and thermowell, manifold, hook-up hardware and the overall flow computer.

The unit arrives pre-assembled, pre-configured, and ready to install.

The T-shaped sensor design accommodates a sealed, pressure retaining thermowell, giving accurate temperature monitoring and allowing sensor removal without process shutdown.

This flowmeter is ideal for gas and steam applications where a compensated flow output is required.

Both Rosemount flowmeters are part of the Emerson PlantWeb digital plant architecture: the architecture that delivers asset management, process automation, and management execution.

Further cost savings, increased plant availability, enhanced safety and environmental compliance are achieved when these flowmeters are integrated into PlantWeb architecture.

The Model 485 Annubar product line further enhances the Emerson Process Management flow offering, which also includes a complete line of Coriolis, vortex, and magnetic flowmeters.
