The remote indicator demonstrates the continuing commitment by Emerson to the development of Foundation Fieldbus and PlantWeb architecture.
The Rosemount 752 makes it possible to display data from intelligent field devices on the plant close to the process, where it might be needed to improve operational efficiency.
Applications for the 752 indicator include the display at grade level of data from any instrument mounted in an inaccessible location, for example tank level and contents data from instruments located on the top, or bottom of the tank.
Applications have also included the display of flow in elevated steam lines, and water flow in buried pipelines.
The Rosemount 752 is a perfect companion for the Rosemount 848T multi-input temperature transmitter, allowing the display of eight separate temperature readings.
The remote indicator can display all relevant information about a control loop close to the process where it is required by the operator.
This is not restricted to measured values, the displays selected can show the desired set point being requested, the output of the PID controller driving the valve, or the actual valve position.
The Rosemount 752 can show any function block output from any device on the segment.
In addition the 752 can be equipped with a function block within the unit itself, providing advanced calculation and control capability to be used with devices on the segment.
Most plants using PlantWeb architecture require devices and displays installed in a hazardous area, and the Rosemount 752 has ATEX intrinsically safe approval and Fisco certification, which allows more devices per IS segment and therefore lower total installed cost.
