New analytical sensors for the Bio-Pharm and Food industries have been introduced by Rosemount Analytical, for measurement of dissolved oxygen, pH and conductivity.
The BP Coryton systems will be based on the Rosemount Analytical NGA2000 MLT multicomponent gas analysers, which recently were awarded MCERTS approval certification.
The systems will be designed and constructed in the Emerson plant at Wessling in Germany.
The Rosemount Analytical MLT gas analysers combine unique sensors, digital signal processing and software technologies in custom configured systems that satisfy single or multicomponent analysis requirements.
The MLT can continuously measure up to five components in a single analyser, using a combination of nondispersive infra-red (NDIR), ultraviolet (NDUV) and visible spectroscopy, with thermal conductivity, electrochemical or paramagnetic oxygen sensors.
Typical components measured in continuous emissions monitoring systems are carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen (NOx), sulphur dioxide and oxygen.
The Emerson range of effluent gas analytical systems also includes FID and Chemiluminescence analysers with MCERTS approval.
Similar Rosemount Analytical gas analyser systems have proven world-wide performance on process gas analysis as well as for emissions monitoring, in industries that include power generation, chemicals, refineries and waste processing.
The custom-built units produced at Wessling have been supplied throughout Europe and the Middle East, for use on many major recent process industry projects.
