The new Control Valve Handbook, now available from Fisher Controls and Regulators, is both a primary reference work and a textbook.
The mechanically adjustable temperature set-point on standard models cover the range 27 to 160C: steel or cast iron regulator bodies have NPT, ANSI or DIN flanged connections, in 0.5 to 1in body sizes, monitoring water flows of up to 340 litres per minute.
Absolute maximum process parameters are 300psi and 232C.
The hardened stainless steel trim reduces the effects of erosion or particles in the steam or water flow, and being above the flow line, there is no accumulation of dirt or deposits on the stainless steel bellows itself.
The 92CT is a lightweight, accurate temperature regulator: the 92CTP option provides an additional pressure regulating pilot valve, in parallel to the temperature pilot, to limit the downstream fluid pressure - particularly important during plant start-up on steam systems.
Both these temperature regulators are special purpose versions of the well-established Fisher Controls 92C range of pressure reducing valves.
