The Fisher Fieldvue DVC2000 Series digital valve controller has been designed in accordance with European standards to meet the needs of the European market.

The Fisher Fieldvue DVC2000 Series digital valve controller has been designed in accordance with European standards to meet the needs of the European market.

Delivering the same high performance as other valve controllers in Emerson's Fieldvue instrument family, the DVC2000 series feature a compact, intrinsically safe design with a convenient local user interface consisting of a multi language display and push buttons.

With built-in real-time diagnostics and valve performance monitoring, the DVC2000 digital valve controller powers PlantWeb digital plant architecture by delivering valve health and process status information to help users improve plant operations and maintenance.

The DVC2000 features a linkage-less position feedback system that simplifies instrument mounting and set up.

A multilanguage local interface is used to initiate a quick setup routine that calibrates and tunes the instrument specifically to the actuator on which it has been installed, this helps ensure accurate and consistent performance.

Integrated options, including a position transmitter and limit switches help to simplify selection by reducing the need for additional engineering and specification.

The DVC2000 series of instruments are simple to maintain, due to their modular construction and self diagnostic capabilities.

Because the position feedback system is linkage-less, removal of the instrument from the valve, should it be required, is simple to achieve.

Communicating via Hart digital communications protocol the DVC2000 presents critical information on control valve condition to plant personnel via AMS ValveLink software or directly to the DCS.

Control valve condition information can be used to identify potential failures allowing action to be taken to prevent unplanned shutdowns.

The DVC2000 series of instruments were developed following consultation with European customers so that their specific needs were met.

Designed in accordance with Namur standards IEC60534-6-1 and IEC60534-6-2 the DVC2000 can be mounted on Fisher and other brand actuators, enabling the industry leading Fieldvue performance to be applied to a wide range of applications across all industries.

The superior performance is made possible by a two-stage pre-amplifier design that multiplies small changes in the pneumatic signal, and by the digital tuning algorithm used to configure the instrument to suit the actuator.

Cenelec, FM, JIS, CSA and SAA certified for use in Intrinsically safe and nonincendive environments, the DVC2000 complies with the European ATEX and EMC directives and the electrical housing meets IEC60529 IP66 and NEMA 4X criteria.

The new DVC2000, in combination with the new Fisher GX valve and actuator system represents the latest in European control valve design, providing an assembly that is simple to apply and operate, simple to maintain and reduces the overall total cost of ownership.
