Flowmeters speed tank loading operations
Micro Motion Coriolis massflow meters have been supplied as mobile metering skid units to improve the efficiency of rail and road tank loading operations at the new Oiltanking terminal in Belgium.
The latest model released, the 2in R200 unit, priced at £2245, is suitable for liquid or slurry flows only, but measures flow up to 87 tonnes/hour.
This is equivalent to a water volume flow of 14550 lit/min maximum, which covers flow rates normally associated with 2in and 3in lines.
With the R Series, Micro Motion offers 1/2% accuracy on liquids, 1% on gases, with options of local display, current outputs and the ability to connect to Foundation fieldbus and the Fisher-Rosemount Plantweb field based architecture.
Coriolis meters are easy to install, requiring no straight pipe runs, have no moving parts and a long life: they measure mass and volume flow of liquids, slurries or gases.
