Fibox came up with the ideal range of housings required by Synectic Design, designers and manufacturers of industrial control instrumentation and systems

Fibox, the specialist manufacturer of polycarbonate, ABS and polyester enclosures, has the ideal range of housings required by Synectic Design Ltd, design manufacturers of industrial control instrumentation and systems The range of controllers for use with flow meters and load cells produced by Synectic Design extends from simple hopper, bag and drum filling applications to complex multi recipe and routing systems incorporating PCs

The company has an increasing demand for robust and versatile enclosures.

Supplying companies as diverse as BNFL, Ford, McVities and RMC, Synectic Design has found the Fibox range, comprising over 500 different industrial housing products, an invaluable supply source.

"Synectic Design's products have in the past been mounted in panels with switch gear with a variety of buttons, lights and labels however, increasingly we are being asked for wall mounted units," said Adrienne Tonge, Synectic Design's managing director.

"The Fibox Mini PG range is strong and can be machined.

Whilst the IP65 sealed units with knock out cable glands enables our customers to fit them quickly and simply," she said.

The variety of lids, which can be fitted to the Fibox range of enclosures, makes them extremely versatile.

Synectic is now able to offer some of its new range of non-invasive ultrasonic flow meters in the Fibox MNX.

This design has a knockout that will accept two sizes of pipe into the enclosure.

The flexibility offered by Fibox enclosures means that Synectic can provide its customers with instruments enclosed in a housing having a standard size blind lid, or one with a small totalising counter fitted.

Alternatively the enclosure can be fitted with a deep lid that can accommodate a batch controller.

"The shape is also a little different from the norm," commented Ms Tonge, "and quite attractive".
