The Filtermist oil mist extraction systems use efficient centrifugal impaction principles to remove oil mist and smoke from the atmosphere.
Filtermist International has appointed Power Utilities to provide both standard and ATEX approved oil mist extraction equipment for Scottish engineering companies associated with the offshore oil and gas industry.
Established in 1934, Power Utilities has four divisions and is a major independent distributor of industrial filtration and associated products.
It offers clients full engineering and technical support from its premises in Walsall, Deeside, Aberdeen and Lille.
Employing around 50 people, the group has engineers accredited to visit offshore locations.
The company offers rapid response times, and holds over 150,000 stock items - which is critical when serving the off-shore industry.

The Filtermist oil mist extraction systems use efficient centrifugal impaction principles to remove oil mist and smoke from the atmosphere, creating a safer and more pleasant environment for machine operators and other applications where heat and oil generate vapour.
The range of oil mist extraction units can be manufactured in mild or stainless steel, with ATEX certified units available for explosive environments.
Filterserve offer Filtermist's full range of units to the area north of the imaginary Glasgow to Edinburgh line, where many of the offshore engineering companies reside.
