First Index has launched Pro Lite, a simple, low-cost online sourcing tool for buyers of custom-made parts and assemblies, into the UK market.
First Index, operators of the world's most active marketplace for custom-made parts and assemblies, has added to its portfolio of buyers' sourcing and procurement tools with Pro Lite.
Available nationally for global sourcing, the new product has been conceived and developed with the help of both suppliers and buyers in the aerospace, automotive, medical and wider engineering industries.
Pro Lite enables buyers to perform automated RFQ distribution and allows one-click access to the First Index global business community with more than 20,000 registered suppliers.
Buyers save money by finding the most suitable suppliers and competitive tendering on new and existing jobs, as well as through streamlining the sourcing and procurement processes.
Using the new platform, buyers use simple wizards to generate RFQs and access standard, detailed information on potential and bidding suppliers.
Parts drawings are easily uploaded and archived, with full RFQ and transaction details, for future repeat or analysis.
RFQ matching to suitable suppliers and broadcasting are handled effortlessly and users receive quotes via customised forms based on their criteria, for instant online sorting and comparison.
Pro Lite is based on Microsoft and XML industry-standard platforms for seamless integration with legacy supply chain and ERP systems and offers compatibility with other vertical marketplaces and sourcing solutions.
Security is assured with 128bit encryption.
Online communication between buyers and suppliers is automated with call filtering and FAQ broadcast facilities provided.
