The system provides online access to existing and new records - customers can organise their database with preferred suppliers and new bidders for each part - so there are no complications associated with software install and upgrades.

Or the damaging on-costs of software-based solutions.

All the tools needed to organise the sourcing activities are provided and the whole RFQ process is automated to save time and money.

The price of the system - typically GBP 5000 per seat per annum - includes building a comprehensive database; using existing preferred suppliers and new ones sourced by First Index, including full profiles for each supplier.

Users are able to manage and control their activities online, share information with colleagues and automatically distribute RFQs, FAQs, drawings and other documents easily and efficiently.

The buying organisation can even remain anonymous through the bidding process.

128bit encryption to banking standards ensures security and the system is robust, constructed with industry-standard tools using XML.

Buyers are able to compare suppliers on a level playing field, with consistent, qualified information and analyses are provided to facilitate fast and effective decision-making.

The system broadcasts bid results so the buyer does not even have to call up unsuccessful bidders.
