First Index, the online marketplace for buyers and suppliers of custom-manufactured components and assemblies, is using Subcon 2005 to add a new dimension to its sourcing community.
First Index, the online marketplace for buyers and suppliers of custom-manufactured components and assemblies, is using Subcon 2005 to add a new dimension to its sourcing community.
Subcon is the UK's only exhibition dedicated to subcontract manufacturing services and takes place at the NEC, Birmingham, from 24th to 26th May 2005.
The show will see First Index exhibit alongside supplier members to create an integrated and interactive networking area.
As Hans Wigart Managing Director of First Index explains: "We will be linking up the First Index buyers' service with the supplier members exhibiting at the show".
"If a buyer comes to our stand with drawings or a request for quotation we can put them in direct face-to-face contact with potential suppliers".
"This adds an extra dimension to our online network".
This extra service at the show is a win-win-win innovation", says Wigart.
"Buyers win because they can get instant access to competent suppliers".
"Our members win because they are getting live leads and the chance to talk directly to the buyer".
"And we win because this is an excellent opportunity to meet our members and buyers".
First Index has always had excellent results from Subcon and is using the show as its primary marketing tool in 2005.
And the reason is clear say Wigart: "Subcon is the major event for subcontracting in the UK and I think it is on an upward trend - particularly now that it is a yearly exhibition".
"This is what I think the UK has been missing, an annual event that fits in more closely with purchasing patterns".
"It will be natural place for buyers to go to see UK and international suppliers".
