Process software has advanced control applications
Fisher-Rosemount announces the DeltaV version 5.3 release, increasing system capacity to 30,000 I/O.
"Our simulation software provides an easy-to-use, flexible application development environment to maximise this productivity".
"With our award winning DeltaV Simulate suite, an engineer can develop new control strategies, and fully test them on their laptop computer using actual control configurations and process simulation software", continued Schleiss.
"This flexibility makes it easy and cost effective to investigate new control opportunities and ultimately maximise the return provided by capital assets".
"The ability to thoroughly test engineering configuration in a PC-only environment provides tremendous flexibility to today's automation engineer", said Darrin Kuchle, DeltaV Advanced Control Product Manager.
"In this release we've removed many capacity limits and engineered the product to work better in a multiple node environment".
High fidelity dynamic process simulation packages, like Hysys, can easily connect to the simulation capability of DeltaV I/O function blocks to read and write parameters to control blocks.
Connecting DeltaV Simulate to a dynamic process simulator makes training sessions more realistic and can help pinpoint operational difficulties long before the plant actually starts up.
All DeltaV modules including advanced control functionality of DeltaV Tune, DeltaV Fuzzy and DeltaV Predict can be tested within the simulation environment.
The products included in the Simulate Suite include: DeltaV Simulate and DeltaV SimulatePro for a single PC; DeltaV Simulate Professional Plus networked; DeltaV Simulate Professional Station networked; DeltaV Simulate Application Station networked; and DeltaV SimulatePro - for single PC or for multimode.
