Huntsman prefers Emerson
Emerson Process Management has become a preferred supplier to all Huntsman European manufacturing plants, which involve 27 locations across seven countries.
Emerson Process Management and the Huntsman Group of Companies in Europe are further developing their close working relationship, following the supply of DeltaV digital automation systems to upgrade the control schemes on various UK plants, and other projects involving advanced intelligent instrumentation and PlantWeb services Huntsman and Emerson partnered with others to present the annual Manufacturing Excellence conference on Teesside this year, and many of the papers presented there described projects where this collaboration had achieved significant improvements in plant operational effectiveness

The agreement was signed on 20th November at the Wilton Centre on Teesside, by Mike Whisson, Purchasing Director, representing the Huntsman group, and Laurence Broomhead, European President of Emerson Process Management.
Also present were Steve Brown, Managing Director of Emerson Process Management for the UK and Ireland, Lynda Hugill, Capex Buying Manager of Huntsman, and David Brass, Key Account Director for Emerson, responsible for relationships with the Huntsman group in the UK.
The 3-year frame agreement will allow all Huntsman group companies in Europe to purchase products from Emerson using standard prices, in Euros, to standard terms and conditions.
Emerson and Huntsman will extend the agreement, as soon as possible, to include their manufacturing plants in Malaysia and South Africa.
