Pulley Alignment Tool is a big success

A Fixturlaser product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 11, 2001

Fixturlaser is working flat out to fulfil all orders for its Pulley Alignment Tool, and is advising customers to place orders as early as possible to avoid delay later this year

"Now we know how the pop stars feel; when their fans, after queuing for hours for tickets, attend pop galas, call out for encore after encore, wanting more and more, and then wait patiently to get a glimpse of their star.

" Says Fixturlaser's Marketing Manager, Bo Baversjo, comparing the customer demand of PAT to that of the fans.

"Sales in the USA under the trade name, Belthog, marketed by the competent company Vibralign, have surpassed expectations.

We knew the product would become popular, but not that it would gain world-wide popularity so fast.

We now have a situation in the market, where unless we increase production rates, queuing up and waiting lists will arise.

One of our salesmen said that you would think we are selling Absolut Vodka! We are all working flat out to fulfil all orders, and are advising customers to place orders as early as possible to avoid delay later this year", concludes the very satisfied Marketing Manager, who aims to make the company, Fixturlaser world leader in measurement, alignment and positioning in the near future.

PAT Pulley Alignment Tool is the latest system from Fixturlaser, for the alignment of pulleys.

By using the belt groove as reference, the procedure becomes not only simple but also very accurate.

The system consists of two identical battery operated units.

The PAT units are mounted on the pulleys using extra strong magnets.

A spring action probe locates the belt groove and the units are easily snapped into position on the pulleys by the magnets when the units are pressed towards the pulleys.

In the past accurate alignment has been so time consuming that it has been impossible to carry it out regularly.

That is why some companies have refrained from aligning pulleys at all.

Fixturlaser's PAT will contribute to increased productivity and profitability as pulleys can be aligned and adjusted regularly.

The alignment process is very simple Only one person is needed to carry out the alignment and no training is needed to operate the system.

When the laser is switched on, it will draw a line on the target label.

The correct position is achieved when the laser lines are aligned with the centre mark on the target label.

Fixturlaser PAT measures angular, parallel, and twist deviations simultaneously".
