FK7 offers gearbox management service

A FK7 product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 19, 2009

FK7 is a new company that provides industrial gearbox maintenance, recondition, redesign and manufacture.

The aim of FK7 is to provide a complete gearbox management service, from preventative to corrective maintenance.

FK7 can meet new gearbox requirements, from inception to supply of the final design.

It can also provide an onsite preventative maintenance programme, whereby all necessary gearboxes can be analysed, given a life expectancy and monitored.

During in-situ tests, concerns with other localised plant and machinery may also be discovered.

This helps to greatly reduce sudden gearbox failures.

Maintenance programmes can be tailored to run parallel with any existing scheduled maintenance, therefore further reducing, and in some cases eradicating, any gearbox-related downtime.

Reconditioned gearboxes come with detailed analysis of all failed components, including photographic representation.

Where possible, these will include reasons for gearbox failure and recommendations to prevent future re-occurrences.

Concerns with other plant machinery may also be uncovered at this stage.

Each gearbox, new or refurbished, comes with a test certificate and a one-year warranty for peace of mind.
