A petrochemical plant customer during a scheduled week of maintenance needed a custom variable area flowmeter - in 3 days maximum - and Flotech delivered in time...
The rugged metal body MT3809 flowmeter from Brooks Instrument has long been the standard variable area flowmeter for industrial flow measurement and indication, in 1/2" to 2" lines.
But when Flotech Solutions introduced a 10-day delivery pledge for standard models, whether fitted with a simple mechanical indicator or a full electronic output and alarms, some customers decided on further challenges.
Flotech have always engineered special versions of the metal tube meters, like polished hygienic units or high pressure models for offshore duties: units suitable for 890 bar pressure with full radiography and material traceability are a regular request.
But recently a petrochemical plant customer during a scheduled week of maintenance needed just such a high pressure meter - in 3 days maximum! Hardly a request for a "standard" product, but the opportunity to measure Flotech performance against their normal supplier was presented: and needless to say, Flotech delivered in time.
Flotech Solutions still quote 10 days delivery on standards: but sometimes "special" orders are delivered faster.
