The Brooks Ar-Mite range of gas and liquid low flow purgemeters is now available with a microprocessor based 4-20mA flow transmitter unit, for remote indication and control.

These typically 0.25in NPT variable area flowmeters have seven models to cover full scale flows of between 1 and 100 litre/h water, or 40 ln/h to 3m3n/h air, with an accuracy of Class 2.5 to VDE/VDI 3513.

Units are precalibrated to suit site conditions and fluids, and operate over a 10:1 flow range, but can be re-programmed on site if needed.

This significant development in remote electronic transmission of very low flow measurements results from the use of a patented magnetic sensor, using AGC techniques to monitor the position of the float inside the flow tube.

The two-wire, IP67 transmitter unit is Cenelec approved for use in hazardous areas.

MT3750 Ar-Mite models are available from Flotech Solutions, the UK Distributor for Brooks products, with stainless steel 316L or monel wetted parts, suitable for process pressures up to 276bar and 200C.

Multiturn flow control needle valves and flow controller accessories are also available, as are separate inductive sensor or reed switch adjustable alarms.
