Flow sensors use thermal technology
Flow averaging tubes provide accurate measurement of gas or air flows in large pipes and ducts, without the expense and complexity of traditional multipoint systems.
It is a volume flow measurement device, providing a linearity of 0.1% or better over a 10:1 flow range, and a repeatability of 0.01%.
Double-cased construction avoids changes of calibration due to pressure or temperature variations.
The single or dual pulse output, obtained using nonwetted pickoffs, complies with the API Level B Pulse Security Standards, and certifications available include CE, PED, ATEX and Cenelec EExd.
The dual spiral rotor design of the BiRotor Plus uses a reduced number of parts, improving serviceability and maintenance, particularly for offshore applications: the balanced rotor design and profile allows the meter to cope easily with entrained air and off-balance masses.
Simplifying the design has also reduced the pressure drop across the meter, which expands the number of suitable applications, to include loading bay and product transportation facilities.
Bob Wrigley, Managing Director of Flotech Solutions, is delighted to see this new development from Brodie Meter, closely following the acquisition of the business from Emerson: "Brodie are keen to meet the requirements of the international market, as demonstrated by the European approvals built into this new development".
"The mechanical PD meter has many advantages in the harsh operating conditions experienced on many oil industry installations". Request a free brochure from Flotech Solutions ...
