Flender Power Transmission has expanded its gears, geared motors and couplings distribution service with the appointment of Fred Garbett as Distribution Manager for the Midlands and South.

Flender Power Transmission has expanded its gears, geared motors and couplings distribution service with the appointment of Fred Garbett (41) as Distribution Manager for the Midlands and South Previously at a leading UK distributor, Garbett specialised in gearbox supply for six years, before which he was in general engineering distribution for 11 years, following an engineering apprenticeship

"I was already dealing with Flender, and found through direct experience that they provide a quality, reliable product".

"I did try several other gear units over the years but always came back to Flender".

"You have to believe in the product to be able to successfully sell it to others, and the reliability of a gearbox is crucial to a production line".

Garbett also cites the excellent quality control procedures at Flender as an influencing factor on the end product, and is delighted that production of the popular Motox geared motors from Bradford has recently been increased, ensuring shorter lead times and faster delivery to customers.

Married with two children aged six and 10, Garbett occasionally finds the time for a long-distance blast on his 2004 Triumph Tiger motorcycle from his Walsall home.
