Flir Systems has established a UK and Ireland distributor network for its ground-breaking ThermaCAM E Series - the world's smallest infra-red camera.
Until last year, the relatively high cost of infrared cameras largely restricted their use to dedicated professional applications in design and development and predictive maintenance.
The change came with the introduction of Flir Systems ThermaCAM E Series - the world's smallest infra-red camera.
For the first time, cost was no longer an obstacle to a thermal imaging camera becoming a standard part of any engineer's toolkit.
Demand for this new troubleshooting product has been high and worldwide sales have been successful since the camera's introduction a little over a year ago.
Until now the E Series has been the subject of direct selling but this is now set to change.
To ensure the best sales and support structure is in place to accord with the breadth of sectors benefiting from this new technology, Flir Systems has established a UK and Ireland distributor network.
The network comprises channel partners who serve a dedicated geographical area as well as those who are allied to specific application sectors.
"Our aim has been to establish a sales structure that best serves market needs", explained Guy Pas, Vice President of Flir Eurasia.
"Demand for the ThermaCAM E Series continues to grow and this move will give us the flexibility to ensure we can respond quickly and efficiently to individual customer requirements".
To date, eight FLIR Systems channel partners have been appointed.
