With the introduction of the new ThermaCAM SC500, FLIR Systems is able to extend the benefits of its patented solid state microbolometer detector techlogy to the R and D community.
In 2004 alone new enterprise contributed more than Eur 17 billion to the Irish economy.
One company certainly benefiting from this growth is Flir Systems.
Working in league with its distributor, Maynooth based Butler Technologies, demand for its infra-red cameras has never been so great.
Ireland is now a seedbed for high-value-added high-export-potential companies, particularly in areas such as engineering, medical device manufacture, food processing and other bio-tech activities.
And it is these sectors in particular that Flir Systems ThermaCAM infra-red cameras are finding favour.
Naturally, in parallel with this substantial growth in infra-red camera sales has been greater demand for operator training.
To meet this need, Flir Systems has just appointed Thermal Vision as its training provider in Ireland to support Butler Technologies' equipment sales.
This creates for the Irish market a dedicated resource to meet its specific needs.
Based in Dunboyne, County Meath, Thermal Vision is owned by Bob Berry, a certified Level III thermographer.
This is a level that few consulting companies in the world can claim and allows Thermal Vision to draw on its wide-ranging experience to add value to the training it provides.
Established in 1998 in response to the void of quality thermography services in Ireland, Thermal Vision works with its customers to achieve the maximum return on their maintenance investment.
The company prides itself on using quality equipment and people to increase uptime across a broad customer base, an approach that is proven to save money.
In addition to on-site training, a programme of camera specific courses is also being organised.
As an ITC Approved training organisation, Thermal Vision is able to offer training that meets the requirements for ASNT Level 1 thermography, of the PCN equivalent. Request free introductory details about products from Flir Systems ...
