The affordable, uncooled thermal imaging camera
With the introduction of the new ThermaCAM SC500, FLIR Systems is able to extend the benefits of its patented solid state microbolometer detector techlogy to the R and D community.
Standard features include a tiltable lens unit, a visual camera, image fusion and a touch screen with stylus.
They have a wide choice of measurement functions including spotmeter, areabox and high/low temperature isotherms.
The T400 also has delta T.
The image quality has been improved and the series now has a thermal sensitivity of 50mK NETD.
With its 25um pitch, this new generation detector allows better performance from a camera that is smaller and lighter, weighing 880g.
The two new entry-level model additions are the T200 and the T250 with a 200 x 150 IR resolution and sensitivity of less than 100 and less than 80mK, respectively.
Both have 2 x digital zoom, 9Hz frame refresh and the Picture-in-Picture function.
This allows the overlay, pan and scale of an infra-red image on a visual image and full analysis of the combined images from retained measurement data.
On the higher-end models this new feature is both scalable and moveable.
It complements the more advanced Thermal Fusion feature that allows the automatic and seamless transition of images from thermal to visual in real-time.
The T-series was the first ever thermal imaging camera to have a large 3.5in touch screen with stylus.
This feature greatly improves access to the software menu and extends communication and storage functionality.
Additional information, such as screen sketches and voice annotations, are stored with the IR image, eliminating the need for separate pen, paper and voice recorder.
All T-series cameras have a temperature measurement range of -20 to +350C with the option up to 1200C on the T360 and T400.
Dust and water splash- proof and shock-resistant, they are all battery powered for up to four hours of uninterrupted use.
The complete kit comprises a camera, carrying case, power supply, cabling, a battery charger, an LCD screen sunshield and a battery.
The T-series is supplied with ThermaCAM Quickreport software in PDF format and an SD card.
The range is compatible with the very latest Reporter software, a wizard-based reporting suite with advanced image processing and temperature calculation functions. Request a free brochure from Flir Systems ...
