The cameras produce infrared video output with embedded temperature measurement data that can trigger alarms, steer processes, inform product development and ensure quality.

The focus for Flir at the VTX exhibition will be on both the smart features available and how its cameras can be integrated into the production process.

The A-Series are compatible with the standard protocols GigEvision and Genicam, which allows integration of third-party hardware and software.

The latest Flir A320 will be a main feature at the show and comes with various smart features.

Using the web-based user interface, the camera can have up to four separate areas set up for a variety of alarm functions.

It also allows areas to be masked off to eliminate the risk of false alarms.

This IP addressable camera can be set up to send a message via FTP or email alerts with an attached image, as well as using the more traditional digital I/O to trigger relays.

As is standard with all Flir 320 x 240 format cameras, temperature measurement is from -20C to 350C.

A variety of lens options are also available, all purpose designed and manufactured in-house by Flir.

This allows the camera to be specified for optimum efficiency in a range of applications from health and safety monitoring through to process control.

Also on show at VTX will be the latest offerings for advanced infrared imaging applications.

The latest generation of cameras for advanced industrial and scientific imaging - the SC5000 and SC7000 range - will be displayed, with applications ranging from detailed microscopy to high-speed imaging in a variety of infrared wavebands.
