Flir Systems will showcase microscopy accessories for its SC5000 research and development infrared cameras at Photonex 2009.

This ultra-fast large-format model is designed for those that want to perform thermal imaging at high spatial resolution with the highest sensitivity and accuracy.
The Flir SC5000's 320 x 240 or 640 x 512 pixel, InSb focal plane array delivers, respectively, 100 or 380Hz frame rates while maintaining exceptional linearity and sensitivity.
A major contributor to the camera's characteristic low noise and high pixel-rate is the latest Flir read-out integration circuit technology.
A smart external triggering feature allows synchronisation of the image capture to the most fleeting of events.
This is a plug-and-play camera that uses either GigE or Camlink interfaces to transmit commands and full dynamic-range digital video.
Its autofocus embedded lens ensures quick and easy camera set-up.
Now Flir has introduced a microscopy stand as an accessory to this high performer.
The stand embeds the Flir SC5000 Series camera and macro lens with a professional two-axis (x-y) stage and a focusing stage.
It is of stiff construction, ensuring it is stable and immune to vibration.
A protective window is also available for each macro lens.
Made from sapphire, it protects the front lens of the camera against projections while ensuring high transmission values.
Flir has also introduced a complete microscopy package that comprises a Flir SC5600M infrared camera, a x 3 macro lens, a protective window, a microscopy stand and Altair software.
The stand is supplied in kit-form but can be easily assembled using a single Allen key.
