A new type of belt conveyor has recently been introduced, the AluLine FL45.
Based on its many years of experience in the manufacture of successful internal transport systems (coupled with its knowledge of frame-building), Flex Industries has chosen a modular design for the AluLine FL45, in which the belt conveyor is subdivided into functional modules that can be assembled to suit requirements.
The strong points of the chosen system are: flexibility and optimum application combined with short production times.
In most cases, the first point to be decided on when configuring a belt conveyor is the drive arrangement.
Depending on the use to which the conveyor will be put, the AluLine FL45 programme allows the choice of direct drive on the drive shaft, indirect drive via a toothed (timing) drive belt, or central drive by means of a centrally positioned drive roller.
The next selection is the return roller.
The choice here is between a round 45mm return roller and a round return roller of just 15mm.
And of course, the central drive can be fitted on either side, ie left hand or right hand.
All versions of the AluLine FL45 can be supplied in widths varying from 100 to 800mm, in increments of 100mm.
The belt conveyor configured in this way can then be provided with a single or double support and with various types of side guides.
There is a choice of PVC or PU for the belt material.
The basic aluminium profile from which the belt conveyor is assembled is the well-known Bosch MGE system (in combination with Bosch's own-developed sections) that has proved its value in practice over a very long period.
All components from the MGE system, such as the various sections, couplings, fixings etc, can also be assembled with the AluLine FL45 to produce a larger configuration, absolutely trouble-free.
Because of the wide range of choice, an FL45 type belt conveyor can be virtually configured as made-to-measure, while at the same time being supplied at very short notice by Flex Industries.
But besides this, it is also possible for a company with its own technical department to order the modules loose and assemble their own belt conveyor.
