Fluke engineers designed the 1520 MegOhmMeter for the most demanding testing jobs.
It has a large backlit LCD with analog bar graph and digital display plus a last-reading memory display for insulation resistance and Lo-Ohms.
The fast-responding analog/digital display shows measurement changes graphically.
The Fluke 1520 also provides an "autodischarge" safety function so the user will not be shocked by residual voltage left on tested circuits.
"Technicians can complete a large set of tests quickly," said Marcel Vermeij, electrical marketing manager for Fluke Corporation.
"And the 1520 does it all - no more running back to the truck for a voltmeter.
The 1520 provides all of the functions required for professional insulation testing and ground connection testing under EN 61557-2, 1997." The 1520 is powered by four C-cell batteries that provide enough energy for at least 5,000 tests, and also contains a battery-life indicator, battery-check function and auto shut-off.
In addition, the Fluke 1520 MegOhmMeter is fully tested to comply with IEC 1010-1, CAT III 600V overvoltage category.
The Fluke 1520 continues the Fluke tradition of providing rugged and reliable test tools and is able to withstand the harsh environments of a demanding workplace.
A protective holster, providing maximum durability in the most extreme conditions and easily withstanding a one-meter test drop surrounds the Fluke 1520's rugged case.
The Fluke 1520 MegOhmMeter ships complete with a protective holster, Fluke TL27 heavy duty 1.5m test leads, Fluke AC86 large jaw alligator clips, TP74 lantern tip test probes, carrying case with accessory storage, instruction manual and four factory -installed C-cell batteries.
The optional Fluke SH100 shoulder strap and Fluke ToolPak are also available for handy carrying and hands-free use.
The Fluke ToolPak includes a powerful, permanent magnet and two hook-and-loop straps, which can be used to hang the meter.
The Fluke 1520 MegOhmMeter comes with a standard three-year warranty and is now available from Fluke distributors and representatives worldwide. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
