Counter gets the measure of atmospheric
particles

A new portable, handheld atmospheric particle counter is an essential tool for monitoring air quality, measuring filtration efficiency and locating particulate sources.

Fluke reckons its new portable, handheld atmospheric particle counter is an essential tool for the HVAC or IAQ (indoor air quality) professional to monitor air quality, to measure filtration efficiency, to locate particulate sources and to demonstrate the need for maintenance and repair Designed for fast and accurate evaluations of the indoor air quality in factories, commercial premises, medical facilities and clean rooms, the counter enables the maintenance of healthy and clean working environments

The Fluke 983 particle counter simultaneously measures and displays six channels of particle size distribution, along with the air temperature and relative humidity.

It is the ideal tool for determining the concentrations of airborne particles, classifying them in size distribution steps between 0.3 and 10.0um in diameter, or for tracking down particle sources.

It enables checks of filtration units and spot checks in sensitive areas such as industrial clean rooms and medical facilities.

The 8-hour rechargeable battery and data storage of 5000 sample records enable complete air quality surveys of an installation in one go.

The Fluke 983 is intuitive to use and can be handheld at any attitude.

The unit is always ready to use, requiring no refilling of fluids.

Sampling can be selectively based on time, number of counts or with a programmable delay.

It records date, time, counts, relative humidity, temperature, sample volumes, alarms and a location label.

Software provided with the counter enables later uploading of stored data to a PC for analysis, reporting and long term data storage.

The new Fluke 983 comes complete with a protective holster and PC software.

It is available from Fluke authorised distributors. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
