Process calibrator handles hazardous
environments

Fluke has extended its growing line of intrinsically safe products for use in explosive environments.

Fluke has extended its growing line of intrinsically safe products for use in explosive environments The new 725Ex is Fluke's first intrinsically safe multifunction process calibrator on the market enabling the test and calibration of practically all sensors and transmitters

The handheld tool is designed to meet the needs of instrumentation technicians in hazardous environments, such as petrochemical plants, oil platforms and refineries, pulp and paper and pharmaceutical plants, and other locations subject to risk of explosion.

It is certified under the European ATEX Directive (ATEX II IG EEx ia IIB 171C).

The new Fluke 725Ex multifunction process calibrator is based on the highly successful Fluke 725.

It is a powerful, yet easy-to-use, rugged handheld tool with the capability to measure or source/simulate volts, milliamps, RTDs, thermocouples, frequency and ohms.

With the addition of any of the eight recently introduced Fluke 700PEx pressure modules, pressure can also be measured or sourced.

The 725Ex can also be set to source milliamps with simultaneous pressure measurement to conduct valve and I/P tests, and its frequency and CPM functions support flow meter testing.

The Fluke 725Ex offers the process technician a single, lightweight tool that can thus handle nearly any process instrumentation need, including work in potentially dangerous areas where explosive materials may be present.

Other Fluke ATEX-compliant handheld calibrators include the 718Ex pressure calibrator, for readings up to 2bar or up to 7bar, extendable to 200bar with 700PxxEx pressure modules, and the Fluke 707Ex Loop Calibrator.

They extend the scope of Fluke products into the explosion protected field, and bring users in these environments all the qualities of rugged reliability and high professional performance.

All the Fluke ATEX-compliant tools are available from Fluke authorised distributors. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
