Application note aids moulding machine
setup
A new application note explains how to fine-tune and verify injection moulding machines during setup and maintenance with the help of a handheld Fluke 190 Series ScopeMeter.
A new, downloadable application note from the Fluke website explains how to fine-tune and verify injection moulding machines during setup and maintenance with the help of a handheld Fluke 190 Series ScopeMeter, designed to cope well with harsh environments Consistency of the repetitive injection process is paramount to maintain the quality of the moulded products

Rugged temperature calibrator ideal for the field
Designed for process instrument technicians, the Fluke 724 Temperature Calibrator can test and calibrate almost any temperature instrument.
Using the ScopeRecord mode of the Fluke 190 Series ScopeMeter enables the capture of reference curves for parameters such as hydraulic pressure relative to feed-scroll position, and mould cavity pressure relative to feed-scroll position, at the preferred, fine-tuned settings.
Dynamic traces of these parameters plotted against time, when restarting or maintaining the machine at a later time, can then be easily compared with the optimum settings.
The Fluke ScopeMeter 190 Series of handheld, two-channel oscilloscopes include 196 and 199 models, available with either monochrome or colour screens.
The ScopeRecord mode captures accurate traces of dynamic parameters even over the relatively slow injection process.
The 196 and 199 models offer 100 or 200MHz bandwidths and 1 or 2.5Gsample/s sampling rates, respectively, as well as providing a true-RMS multimeter in one affordable, easy to use instrument.
The high-resolution waveforms can also be transferred to a PC running optional FlukeView ScopeMeter software for documenting, archiving and analysis.
