The Fluke 287 and 289 have an AC bandwidth of 100kHz, a 0.025% basic DC accuracy and include a temperature measurement function.
Fluke has released the new Fluke 287 and Fluke 289 true-rms logging multimeters.
They incorporate advanced data logging and TrendCapture to help track down problems quickly.
TrendCapture also helps during preventive and predictive maintenance.
An extra-large, quarter-VGA dot matrix display shows results graphically, backed by an enhanced user interface with on-board help and soft-key interface.
Both meters can log multiple sessions unattended in the field.
These results can then be reviewed without a PC.
The Fluke 287 high-accuracy logging multimeter quickly records electrical performance and shows trend information.
The Fluke 289 has additional features including a lo-pass filter, for accurate voltage and frequency measurements on adjustable speed motor drives and other electrically noisy equipment, as well as lo-ohm and lo-impedance measurement ranges.
It diagnoses problems in electronics, plant automation, power distribution and electromechanical equipment.
The Fluke 287 and 289 feature a large 50,000-count, 89mm display that can show multiple measurement sets.
The screen also features a white backlight and displays context-sensitive on-board help screens.
The instrument set-up is customisable to save time and increase productivity.
Multiple save options and automatic time stamping allow convenient recall of field measurements.
An interface ensures easy data transfer to a PC.
Optional FlukeView Forms software enables users to document, store and analyse readings and then convert them into professional reports.
Fluke's new meters store up to 10,000 readings and both feature true-rms measurement for accurate readings on nonlinear signals, both true-rms voltage and current.
They have a 50mF capacitance range, and measure up to 10A (or 20A for 30s).
Peak capture can record transients as fast as 250us.
A relative mode removes test lead resistance from low ohm or capacitance measurements.

The Fluke 289 has a two-terminal 50-ohm range with 1 milliohm resolution and 10mA source current, useful for measuring and comparing differences in motor winding or contact resistance.
A LoZ Volts function eliminates ghost voltages, and can test for live power.
The meter withstands hazardous 8000V spikes caused by load switching and faults on industrial circuits and complies with second edition IEC and ANSI electrical safety standards.
Both the Fluke 287 and 289 come with a lifetime warranty.
