Power quality tools gain three-level support

A Fluke (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 1, 2008

The 1-2-3 approach includes a free DVD, a web-based or local hands-on seminar and an online information library of case studies and application notes.

Fluke is offering a free three-pronged approach to electricians and electrical engineers involved in troubleshooting the causes of poor power quality in industrial electrical installations and equipment.

Overlooked or unforeseen, power quality problems may lead to unscheduled downtime, product waste and equipment failure, as well as risks to personal safety and excessive power costs.

The 1-2-3 approach includes a free DVD, a web-based or local hands-on seminar and an online information library of case studies and application notes.

Fluke offers a complete range of rugged power quality tools for single and three-phase systems, offering a choice of solutions for pinpointing power problems faster.

The free Fluke"Power quality in industrial applications" DVD contains an introduction to power quality, an overview of common power disturbances, as well as useful troubleshooting techniques and the tools to use.

It also includes actual examples of how problems were diagnosed and corrected.

The free 60-minute webinars help participants to recognise, measure and interpret problems quickly: the local seminars, based around real case studies, will include hands-on training on how to conduct inspections using a variety of power quality tools.

The third element includes an extensive source of freely downloadable notes including EN50160 compliance, potential costs of poor power quality, troubleshooting techniques and how to conduct load studies.

Fluke Power Quality troubleshooting products include the Fluke 1740 Series power quality logger series, the Fluke 1735 power logger, the Fluke VR1710 voltage quality recorder for single-phase applications, as well as two Fluke products offering IEC61000-4-30 Class A-compliance - the handheld Fluke 430 Series power quality analyser and the Fluke 1760 three-phase power quality recorder.
