Based on aerospace launch pad technology, Micro-K aerosol generated fire suppression systems now introduced by Firemaster have been developed to harness its advanced benefits for the widest range of general and industrial applications The suppressant is stored in solid form inside a triple-chamber steel housing called a 'generator'

Manual or automatic actuation starts a chemical reaction, generating a gaseous product that quickly condenses into particles smaller than that of a dry chemical.

This particulate aerosol escapes from the generator and easily mixes with the air throughout the hazard area, breaking the combustion chain reaction and thereby extinguishing the fire.

Micro-K eliminates the need for pressure vessels or distribution piping and operates over the temperature range of -40 to +54C.

Just 50 to 100g of agent protects up to 1m3 space.

It is not toxic or corrosive and has no ozone depletion potential.

Actuation can be mechanical or electrical and automatic or manual.

Versions include a self-contained generator triggered by temperature breaking a detector bulb for small hazards and larger systems with mechanical actuation or pneumatic release and fusible link or thermal detectors plus a manual provision.

Micro-K units are available direct from Firemaster Extinguisher.
