Micro-K aerosol generated fire suppression systems have been 'Maritime Coastguard Agency' approved and are suitable for workboats and pleasure craft, as well as a wide range of general applications

Micro-K aerosol generated fire suppression systems have been 'Maritime Coastguard Agency' approved and are suitable for use on workboats and pleasure craft, as well as a very wide range of general and industrial applications, where they utilise the advanced benefits of aerospace launch pad technology.

Available from Firemaster, who are the main UK Micro-K distributor, the suppressant is stored in solid form inside a triple-chamber steel housing.

Mechanical or electrical and manual or automatic actuation triggers a chemical reaction generating a gaseous product that quickly condenses into very small particles easily mixing with the air throughout the hazard area and extinguishing the fire by breaking the combustion chain.

The agent is not toxic, corrosive or ozone-depleting, and just 50 to 100g is need to protect up to 1m3 space.

The system eliminates the need for pressure vessels or distribution piping and operates in temperatures from -40 to +54C.
