With a reputation for quality and professionalism, built on services relating to the woodworking industry, Huddersfield based Fenay Machine Safety is now widely recognised as a leading expert in PUWER 98 (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) compliance.
Responding to customer demand, the company has become a "one stop shop" for all aspects of machinery safety and employee training issues, with consultants and engineers qualified and experienced in a wide range of industries.
Fenay Machine Safety offers a full service from initial survey through to employee training and ongoing maintenance.
Typically, a full in-depth report is provided with an audit of each item of machinery, detailing the required actions and timescales to bring it into compliance, together with a 'menu' of work required and costs for each element.
Work undertaken for PUWER 98 compliance includes retrofitting and upgrading of machines and renewal or provision of guarding, machine specific training of individual operatives, servicing and maintenance.
Certificates, reports and service logs are supplied for each machine as work is completed.
Advice is also provided on a range of health and safety aspects, such as preventive maintenance.
As a further service to its clients Fenay Machine Safety will liase with the Health and Safety Executive and insurance companies on the client's behalf, and offers an ongoing health and safety service package for companies not large enough to employ a dedicated health and safety officer.
