Relays respond to ambient light levels
Energy consumption, maintenance and replacement costs can be reduced when essential exterior lighting is lit only during times when the ambient natural light falls below an acceptable level.
Relay allows users to call for help
The 13.12 features dual outputs, allowing a remote alarm signal and a local indication of activation to be activated simultaneously.
The facility is expected to prove invaluable in many diverse aspects - from the routine verification of product specification to establishing the statistical distribution of a specific characteristic that might be of concern to just one particular customer.
New or unusual applications can be simulated in the laboratory, tested and proven to match the right product for the job, thereby increasing customer confidence.
Furthermore, in the unhappy event of misuse or unsuitable selection of product, the consequences can be analysed by Finder and recommendations made locally and quickly.
As would be expected from Europe's leading independent designer and manufacturer of electromechanical relays, the laboratory is equipped with a full compliment of electrical and mechanical measuring equipment.
An environmental test chamber and multi-channel data logging equipment enables the close measurement of temperatures inside a relay as it is subject to varying loads, while stereo microscopes allow Finder's staff to perform detailed visual inspection of contacts and connectors.
In addition, Finder is in the design stages of producing custom-made test equipment to provide even higher levels of analysis.
