Screwless version added to relay
interface modules
Joining an extensive family of relay interface modules is a version where the conventional screw method of connection is replaced by a system that grips the wire with a cage clamp mechanism
Relay and timer manufacturer Finder has extended its family of relay interface modules by launching a 'screwless' version of the popular 38 Series The conventional screw method of connection is replaced by a system that grips the wire under the pressure exerted by a cage clamp mechanism

Relays respond to ambient light levels
Energy consumption, maintenance and replacement costs can be reduced when essential exterior lighting is lit only during times when the ambient natural light falls below an acceptable level.
Relay allows users to call for help
The 13.12 features dual outputs, allowing a remote alarm signal and a local indication of activation to be activated simultaneously.
This allows a faster connection time and assured grip over longer periods, even under conditions of vibration and therefore avoids the need for periodic inspection for screw tightness.
With dimensions of just 76.5x6.2x89mm, the ultra-slim 38 Series is suitable for DIN rail mounting and ideal for use with PLC and control system manufacturers, as well as general industrial applications such as freestanding appliances and air-conditioning units.
A wide range of input voltages are available, with six AC/DC nominal voltages spanning from 12 to 240V AC/DC, and four sensitive DC nominal voltages covering 12 to 60VDC.
With all devices having an input operating range of +/- 10% and an ambient operating temperature of -400C to 550C.
Built into the relay module is a green LED to indicate supply status, and the facility to fit a plotter printed label tag, assisting commissioning and testing work.
Supplied with a robust plastic retaining clip, the relay can be instantly removed from the module for quick substitution and isolation if required.
For multiple installations, a 2 to 20-way jumper link is available, allowing common terminals to be safely connected together.
As well as adding visual appeal and general neatness the jumper link accessory also eliminates the need to cut, strip and terminate short fiddly cable, which can greatly reduce installation times.
The output single pole changeover relay contacts are heavy-duty silver nickel for increased longevity and reliability.
Contacts are rated at 6A and have a maximum switching voltage of 400V.
Carrying the CE approval mark and with a mechanical switching life of 10 million operations, the 38 Series can be installed into industrial applications with confidence.
