Leading manufacturer of relays and timers Finder has appointed Jonathan Stanford as Managing Director of its UK subsidiary.

Leading manufacturer of relays and timers Finder has appointed Jonathan Stanford as Managing Director of its UK subsidiary.

Stanford was previously with Finder in Italy as International Sales and Marketing Manager responsible for the former Commonwealth, North American, Scandinavian and Far-East markets.

Taking over from retiring managing director Alan Lester, 44 year-old Stanford will continue with his previous role as international sales and marketing manager as well as maintaining management responsibility for Finder's key global accounts.

Since January 2003 Stanford and Lester have been jointly responsible for managing directorship duties at Finder.

Alan Lester founded Finder in the UK in 1992 having previously distributed the company's product line throughout the country with specialist distributor of e-mech components Switchtec.

Says Stanford, "With my background with Finder in Italy, taking over as Managing Director in the UK is a natural progression for me.

The role will be a fresh challenge, as apart from the main duties, the intention is to create a UK 'hub' to offer marketing, technical and sales processing support to other English speaking countries".

Retiring Managing Director Alan Lester is upbeat about Finder's future in the UK, "Since the foundation of Finder in the UK over ten years ago, I've seen lots of changes in the industry.

Marketplaces have come and gone, but with its design and manufacturing capabilities, Finder is well placed to address the needs of future trends and markets".

"During the market downturn of the past two years, Finder has taken the opportunity to develop new products that will be rolled out throughout 2003 and beyond.

Particularly with Jonathan at the helm in the UK, the company is poised to increase its share in the very competitive marketplace for relays and timers as the expected recovery takes place".
