More options for timer range

A Finder product story

Finder has expanded its 80 series timer range to include a "true off" delay timer, and a star-delta timer.

With the new models, the comprehensive 80 series range is now capable of providing solutions for virtually any process timing application, thus making it the ideal timing platform for designers in all areas of control and automation.

Particularly, the range will find favour with designers and manufacturers of control systems for building services, heating and ventilation, water and sewage treatment, motor starting and automatic machinery.

Exhibiting versatility, the star delta timer will operate on supplies ranging from 12 to 240V AC or DC and the true off delay from 24 to 240V AC or DC.

So one model for all voltages minimises stock holding, simultaneously maximising plant availability due to the lower spares requirement.

Further, the timers feature multiple time ranges, so again, stock holding is minimised.

All of the 80 series timers from Finder are a slim, space saving 17.5mm width, and for ease of installation and servicing clip onto standard 35mm rail.

When fitted side by side, 80 series models bring a neat, uniform appearance to the control panel.

The 80.82 star-delta timer features both adjustable run up and transfer time settings for optimum star to delta changeover efficiency and performance.

The output contact has a rated current capacity of 6A with a maximum peak current of 10A and a rated switching voltage of 250V AC, and 400V AC maximum.

Selectable timing ranges for the 80.82 span 0.1s to 20min.

Providing a "true off" timing capability, the 80.61 timer has an 8A rated changeover contact (single pole, double throw), and four timing ranges spanning 0.1s to 2min are all available from one timer.

As a true off timer, the unit commences timing on removal of the supply.

Other timers may need the power to be maintained in order to function.

All the 80 series timers from Finder feature programmable microelectronics married to a reliable and robust electromechanical relay output user interface.

Further, Finder's total in-house design and manufacture cover all aspects of the electronics, electromechanical and mechanical elements of the products.
