The Fanuc iRVision system is designed to reduce installation time and cost, and to make vision integration with robot systems a straightforward process.

Fanuc Robotics has introduced a new vision system which integrates directly with its RJ3iC controller.

The Fanuc iRVision system is designed to reduce installation time and cost, and to make vision integration with robot systems a straightforward process.

No additional hardware, other than a camera, is required to integrate both 2D and 3D vision with Fanuc's RJ3iC controller.

The iRVision system manages all image processing using the robot controller's CPU - saving the expense and integration of an external PC and associated software.

Setup involves connecting the camera direct to the controller and loading the vision software.

Integration is then enabled by connecting directly to the robots own secure Fanuc web server ,which provides specific intuitive information to complete the setup.

A clear camera image and programming data are displayed on Fanuc's intelligent I-Pendant making it easier for installation engineers to access information.

In addition to programming data the I-Pendant provides a run-time display function on its monitor logging "time to find" and positional information.
