Exhibition changes hands

Andrew Reed, Director of Events and Exhibitions at Wm Reed said: " We are very excited about the opportunities that this presents for the show".
"If we can do what we did with Food and Drink Expo last year, which is grow the attendance by 18%, we will be able to reignite the enthusiasm for a successful flag ship event in this vital industry sector".
"The key thing to a successful show is to ensure that the right people attend and are looked after in such a way that they have an enjoyable business experience".
"What everybody is interested in doing is making the show a must attend one".
Foodex Meatex was owned by its members, or exhibitors, who agreed to sell the show at their AGM in the interests of the show.
Jim Redman a former director of Foodex said: "We wish William Reed well and we will support them going forward".
Martyn Garrod of Hantmann also expressed his support for the arrangement by saying: "The AGM ended with a very positive outcome and we very much look forward to being part of the exhibition in the future".
"We welcome this opportunity to change way in which the show is run, to the benefit of all involved".
Jim Sydenham, of Interfood agreed: "All we want from an Interfood's point of view is to have a positive show where our existing and potential customers will be able to view our products and equipment".
"If William Reed can deliver this it has to be in all of our interests, we will be supporting them".
