Safety interlocks combine best of both worlds
Fortress Interlocks has launched Amgard 2000, a range of modular interlocks which combines the convenience of gate switches with the adaptability of trapped-key interlocks
Options available with the Amgard range include tongue or handle operation, override facility, and solenoid-operated access control for machinery with run down cycles.
Additional modules available include an option pod fitted with key switch, status indicators or push button, and internal release units for emergency situations.
Fortress also offers the choice of a lockout device or a safety key adaptor to prevent the operator being accidentally locked in a guarded area.
Ingress protected to IP67, the Amgard range is robust and is designed to tolerate extreme misalignment.
Dual channel safety circuitry and tamperproof locking mechanisms ensure complete operator safety whilst allowing rapid access to machinery, thus minimising costly production down time.
